The first week of June is National Volunteer's Week.  This year the theme is "Time To Say Thank You" and WPA would like to thank the volunteers who have put so much in to Community Play.  

I liked being able to do lots of fun things as a young inspector as well as all the inspections, like playing in the garden at the training.

The session I inspected was a bit difficult because they didn't let us join in and weren't very nice to each other, but the play workers really helped to calm things down.

Young Inspectors is really fun because I got to meet new people of my age that I really liked and I got to see their play parks.

My inspection was just in a field surrounded by houses but, it was really good to see how fun the play workers had made it all.

With a several layers already in place, I put on my scarf, gloves and red WPA jacket ready to venture to the freezing tundra of Beacon Field, Peasedown St John.  My mission was to find out from children and young people what they'd like from two future play days.

Great fun at the St Johns Woodland session making bows and arrows and catapults.  The children and young people had a fantastic time and one girl made herself a hideaway to shoot her arrows out of.
