Playing in Plantation with Dens and Homemade Lemonade

Illustrative image

This weeks play session on monday 25th was very diverse with a lot of different activities taking place.

20 children and 7 adults attended and during the session we played hoopla, cricket, tennis and an exciting game of rounders with a very unexpected score. There were various dens in the wooded area which we had helped build and the children had lots of fun running in and out of them whilst playing. There was also some nice "free play" led by the children whilst the adults were discussing the community group and the plantation site.

Lauren helped make homemade lemonade with 6 other children and everyone was pleased to have a tasty refreshment after the energetic game of rounders. Towards the end the boys had created a bike ramp in the park and Max enjoyed riding his bike over it to see how high he could jump.

These sessions are open, so we always welcome new people to our sessions. It could be a great way of meeting new people and playing in the outdoors, so bring friends and parents and anyone else you can think of.

We are here every monday at The Plantation, Manor Copse Road, Writhlington 3.30 - 6pm. Come along and see what we're doing.

Other events can be found in Radstock and Westhill, or choose another area from the homepage!
